Risk Free Medical Bill Evaluation and Negotiation
INSNET provides RISK FREE medical bill review and negotiation services. One of their trained negotiators will review your bill for errors and compare the pricing with what other providers in your geographic area have accepted for payment for similar procedures. The negotiator will contact the medical provider and propose a discounted settlement. If successful, INSNET will charge a percentage of the amount saved on the bill, with no fee if there is no savings.
INSNET has been in the business of negotiating reductions in medical bills since 1985. Their original company, Insurance Negotiating Service, was an early leader in helping insurance companies save millions by negotiating medical bills. In 2007, INSNET was formed in order to use their knowledge and experience to help consumers pay a fair price on their medical bills.
Special rates for My Health and Money members
My Health and Money has negotiated special rates off INSNET's fee for our members. Any bill with a patient balance over $200 is eligible to be sent for negotiation. If INSNET successfully reduces your bill, you will be charged a service fee of 28% of the amount saved, meaning you keep 72% of the savings. This is a 20% discount off the usual and customary service fee.
Here's an example:
If your bill is $300 and INSNET negotiates the bill down to $200, that's $100 in savings.
INSNET will keep 28% or $28 and you will keep 72% of that $100 savings, or $72.
